Barb died in Oakland, CA in November 2013 of lymphoma.  She had been active in the anti-nuclear movement, environmental issues, community outreach, and utilities' issues, including community choice.  She was an intervener with the California Public Utilities Commission as well.  Her web site, www.womensenergymatters.org is still up, and describes much of what she was involved with.  A celebration of her life is tentatively going to be held late in February, but plans have not firmed up yet.  There are a number of videos of her discussing her work on youtube.  She was married earlier, but later divorced.

The memorial planned on Feb. 15th has been postponed.  There's a committee working on it...

I simply remember Barbara as a quiet presence midst turbulence, her life seems to have been a continuation of that walk with a voice.  I look forward to checking out her website and joining a vigil on the 30th here in Montana. Namaste Barbara.
