Dennis "Denny" Kelley (1946 - 2014) 67, of Beach Park, IL died March 1, 2014 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, IL. Denny was born June 29, 1946 in Libertyville, IL. He was raised in Lake Forest, IL, and graduated from Lake Forest High School. Denny is a Vietnam Veteran who served in the United States Army. He then became a self-employed carpenter who enjoyed working 7 days a week and would do anything for everyone. Denny is survived by his daughter, Jaclyn (Luis) Cardenas; siblings, Charles (Janice) Kelley, and Janice (Paul) Williams; best friend, Carol Martin; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Maxine Kelley. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Captain James A. I am so sorry to hear about Dennis's death. I moved from Lake Bluff to West Lake Forest when I was ten, and Dennis became one of my closest friends. I lost track of him after high school, probably when he went to Viet Nam. He was one of the nicest, but toughest, people I have ever known.
